Time to think

I have found myself with less and less free time over the past few months, and as such have failed in my aim to put more posts up.

Instead I have devoted what little free time I’ve had to two much simpler blogs which I can update very quickly:

Deptford Market

This blog will showcase the best items that I find at the market including photos, diaries, postcards and others.

Analog Reminder

This is just a loose collection of my work, things that interest me, and updates on my life.

The rest of my time I have been writing lots of articles of variable quality, covering protests again, and doing some work experience. Have linked below to some of the things I’ve been up to.

Too many pies, not enough fingers

I’ve been pretty terrible at updating this of late so I thought I’d start the ball rolling with an update of the work I’ve been doing on the MA Journalism course at Goldsmiths.

Having become de facto protest correspondent over the past month, I’ve had plenty of opportunity to be in the mix of things, but unfortunately very little time to focus on anything else.

Will definitely be posting some original content soon, but in the meantime, you’ll just have to settle for some links to some of my work from the last month:

Visit to the Dianetics Centre

So, I went along for the results of my personality test at the Scientology Dianetics Centre yesterday. It was surprisingly uneventful other than the fact that the building was amazing and the girls were all beautiful.

I would go into more detail but really I wasn’t paying much attention when they analysed my test results what with all the attractive architecture and Scientologist girls.

Suffice to say they told me i wasn’t achieving my potential and that Scientology and Dianetics could help me do that. As long as I bought lots of books. And DVDs. And volunteered down at the Centre. You get the drift.

They gave me a nice DVD too.

I’m going to go back and take some photos later in the week but for now here’s a photo of the central staircase.

Notes I Have Kept

House sharing inevitably generates passive aggressive behaviour patterns, which although tiresome,  can lead to some wonderful intra-house correspondance.

These are a handful of the notes I’ve collected over the past three years of sharing a house, and as soon as I can dig the rest out from under my bed I will add some more to the collection.

Application/Stress

Posted: February 26th, 2010 | Author: Germaine Arnold | Filed under: Egotism, General | No Comments »

For some stupid reason I have decided, with only a few days notice, to apply to do a Masters starting in September.

Planning Fail.

Back here after I’ve filled in forms until my brain turns to mush.

Forms

In other news, finally going to meet Sophie at the Dianetics Centre on Tuesday. I want to smuggle in a dictaphone but I’m scared they have scanning devices.

Forms make me paranoid.

Sophie, You’re Coming On a Little Strong

Sophie keeps calling, emailing, texting me since I did the online Scientology Test.

I’m worried they’re going to trick me into ‘Going Sweeney’.

Oxford Capacity Analysis Test

I took this test but now I’m too scared to get my results analysed.

They call me every day and ask when I’m going to come in.
